Alucard Gray

21+ - He/They
Aether - Siren

Much like generations of Viera before him, Alucard was cast out of his village after coming of age, the equivalent of reaching teenage years for humans. A few days after leaving the village, Alucard was confronted by wild beasts. He attempted to fight them off, but having no skills or training, he was no match. Quickly losing consciousness due to his wounds, he thought his short life was already nearing its end.The next thing he knew, he would awaken in a small wooden shack on a bed of fleece. Nearby was a grim, scruffy looking Viera covered in scars, with a head of long, dark hair. With a groan, Alucard examined himself to find his wounds wrapped in medicine leaves and cloth. With a gravelly voice, the man spoke, “there is no way you will manage on your own. I will be your mentor and teach you the skills needed to survive on your own.”The following moons of Alucard’s life will be filled with intense training, including survival skills, martial skills, mental fortitude, magic, wound tending, and reading. Roughly 11 moons after meeting his mentor, the two would get separated attempting to deal with a group of dark casters attempting to summon void avatars into their woods. After some time waiting at their designated meeting spot, Alucard backtracked in an attempt to find his mentor.Following the voices of the remaining trespassing casters, Alucard would find the body of his mentor, mangled by a summoned gargoyle of the void realm. Swearing an oath on the lifeless body of his mentor, he would learn how to combat these new threats to the woods of his home. After combing through the records and texts his mentor kept, Alucard could find little information on the summoning of void beings and the dark magic the casters used. After much deliberation, he determined that the best method to keep his oath would require breaking the Green Word, leaving the forest to travel the world and research these new threats. Upon leaving, he decided to take the nickname he gave his mentor, as his surname and for his first name, he took a name from one of the many books he kept in his possession. Thus, Alucard Gray was born, and upon stepping out of the forest, broke the Green Word.
